Comments (4)Putting the trunk on an angle wouldn't change the crotch angle. The weight of the canopy is less than the stress wind would cause. Get a cfl and put it on the stem where you want growth. Force it to bud out. Make the tree do what you want it to. Start now and get the buds to break before spring so by next fall you will have a mostly balanced tree. Also don't let any more growth happen on the current canopy. Rub off all new branches as they grow. Only let the tree grow from the bare stem....See MoreKaffir lime pruning advice
Comments (23)john, I have tried to search multiple topics through this forum and the search function doesn't always work which is quite frustrating. I am not sure if it is forum related or my computer. I have noticed people in general would rather ask a basic question than take the time to Google and do their own research to solve their own problems. I have noticed this on numerous forums and FB groups regarding various topics. Comments (8)You are in Florida, yes? Citrus is prone to all manner of disease and pestilence. It could be any number or combination of things. Lots to choose from. Florida soils are prone to being deficient in magnesium (Mg) SL380/SS582: Magnesium (Mg) for Citrus Trees (ufl.edu) All kinds of bugs like citrus.
