Can anyone tell me how to remove cabinet doors from Kraftmaid cabinets

I have the whisper touch hinges on my cabinet doors and they don't seem to have the release lever like hinges I see online. Can anyone tell me how to quickly remove cabinet doors on Kraftmaid cabinets with these hinges?

Maybe you have screw cover plates? Pop those off and back out the screw(s). I'd try the center one first, then the cup screws.

I don't know what that hinge is but all current Kraftmaid cabinets are framed construction. If yours are franed then the only way to remove doors from the cabinet is to unscrew the hinges.

It's a little easier to remove the hinge from the box but be sure to support the door, which can be divided. The other way is to remove the door from the hinge while keeping the hinge attached to the box. Supporting the door is easier, the hinge cups will keep it in place. BUT, if you then close the hinges they can be tricky to open without a door attached. It can also be thick re- attaching the door.

No fast easy way just work.

You could try removing the doors and applying a "poultice" of a solvent, such as acetone (not nail polish remover!) and a non-reactive material such as diatomaceious earth, or even corn starch. mix up a stiff paste, spread it over the greasy area, cover with foil to keep it from evaporating, and leave it for a while.

(Big sigh), OK, hollysprings, that's what I was afraid of. A big thank you for the advice even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I'll probably just go with the standard library molding. However, KM does have an unglazed Biscotti. What if SW matched that and then I tried to match the glaze? Do you think I stand a chance of getting "close enough" since it's 7 ft. up and not right next to the original molding? The problem may be the white paint on the woven molding being purchased now affecting the color of the Biscotti paint. Also, the sheen on the factory molding may make my painted molding look different. I have a little time to practice on my sample molding left from the kitchen if I want to get adventurous.

Are Kraftmaid Vantage cabinets different from big box Kraftmaid?

The door offerings are the same whether PB standard or Vantage All Wood. It's the box that is upgraded. Vantage boxes are NICE. Wood interiors, no vinyl, no PB. If you just want PLYWOOD ends on the exposed ends of your kitchen, You can order KraftMaid with specific cabinets that have plywood ends. That would be less money than Vantage but you get added durability. You can also upgrade to FLUSH finished plywood ends....even thicker and nicer to see and fits better with installation. Thicker door frames aren't necessary for added quality and just add weight and more strain on the hinges. If you're doing a shaker style with a reversed raised panel....that has a thicker center panel. This would be a good choice if you are doing a knotty or rustic wood.
