Thanks, trospero. I agree, but my son is giving me his tablet. We finally drove over to Wal Mart, and bought a lap top. I don't know how to be wise about electronics. I purchased phone that I thought was all that I needed, and now realize that in my school, I really needed a smart phone or something more high tech so that I can receive communications from my students. Frankly, I think that is the worst idea they have ever come up with for teachers, but nobody hears me. Sammy

I have inset in my main house. We are doing a new kitchen in a vacation house. My husband kept saying he loves inset and wanted to put it in the vacation condo. I think he likes the look. I convinced him to go full overlay. Mainly for cost. I like the look of full overlay as well. Inset has less space and I do bang the edges of the frame and can see that when I pull a pot out of a few cabinets. When I was doing my kitchen here, the one with inset, a KD strongly advised me not to do it. She said she had inset and had redone the kitchen to get rid of them. I do find that I have to adjust the hinges a lot. All of that being said, I do like the look and am not sorry I did it in my home kitchen. Looking forward to seeing how I like the full overlay in condo kitchen, though.

I've spent a lot of time in hot topics, esp in the last 4 years! I've learned stuff and enjoy the 'discussion'. One just needs to recognize there's a lot of heat generated with some of that light. I just applied my own "filter" to ignore certain posters and posts and certain threads as they deteriorated. But I found it enlightening to keep contact with the 'other side' as it's only through understanding each other that we can reach a common ground....though I have to admit that, after 4 years, I still can't say I understand the other side...and I'm sure they feel the same about me. As far as ROI, though, I'm not so sure as I suspect it drives a *lot* of traffic for H...z, certainly a lot more than, say, the Fig Forum. Looks as if Toby has volunteered to create a new forum for us, so I'll look forward to that. It is probably best for H...z in the long run that that kind of forum not exist here...though I suspect it's going to be hard as there's always a lot of energy around controversial subjects and there won't be a place for it to go any more....at least not here.

My IL (here she goes again, complaining about the ILs) remove the gift from the box or bag and hand the box box/bag immediately, and I mean immediately, back to me. I don’t understand that. Why don’t you keep it and reuse it? I’ll reuse the ones my gifts came in and you reuse the ones your gifts came in. I can almost guarantee you’ll see “your” bag next year. The strangest time was when the gift bag represented the actual gift (a trip to Longwood or maybe Philly flower show and there weren’t actual tickets to wrap). It was done so they could display or reuse the bag and attached silk flowers. Because I wasn’t going to be there on xmas day, I said to my husband DO NOT accept the bags back, tell them to keep them as part of the gift. When I saw the bags back at my house I said did you forget to give these? No, they asked him do I want them back and he said yes I do. No! I specifcially told you I didn’t. He is often part of the problem, not part of the solution.
