Need help decorating living room!
Comments (13)I'm amazed that your TV is way up there. That's not good for your necks and can cause chronic problems. Is there a way you can lower it? Even though you have ceiling lights you need table lamps for a warmer, less harsh ambience. Without some kind of soft window treatment your room looks cold and underdecorated. If you're keeping the carpet I would choose drapery panels in a cream color with only a slight pattern, nothing that will be too obvious and make the room look smaller. There's room for a bookcase in the area without windows next to the couch. Your room will look much nicer if you corral all the electronics under the TV into a closed chest or console of some kind. The dark ottoman looks big and cumbersome, and a cream colored coffee table would look much nicer, perhaps one that has somewhat rounded edges. I would find some more colorful pillows, lemon yellow, terra cotta and patterned pillows. With your very dark wall and taupe couch, I would try hard to introduce lighter and brighter colors. The trend for "everything gray" is ending, one reason being that it's not very livable, and children especially deserve to have more color in their home environment, and it may actually be beneficial for them....See MoreHelp! Comments (44)Sounds like you and hubby aren’t on the same page. Buying a table, without ability to return is red flag to me. He bought that rug too without your involvement. The rug is wrong size and style. No photo of the table. But better sit down and talk about this and reach some compromises otherwise, these situations can fester and get ugly over time....See MoreNeed help decorating dark living room sectional

Comments (8)@freedomplace1 Your orange marking is the door and entry way. The entry way has an ugly tile flooring that I plan to use a rug to cover it. Your purple marking is the door that leads to the patio. The light switch is for the patio and living room is on the wall next to the patio door. @everdebz I will eventually add a TV. I plan to use the dining room as my office space. The desk color is black with shades of brown that matches my kitchen flooring....See Morelisaam
