I think I agree that #3 is in fact Indian Tobacco. That means that I have been pulling out the very plant I have been trying for a while to grow. I found a single website with a picture of a rosette of Indian Tobacco leaves on it and it does indeed resemble what I have. I will have to transplant some and try growing them indoors during the winter. As for #2, it could very well be in the Wild Lettuce family. My plants don't appear to be prickly... yet. I have seeds for Lactuca canadensis, but I don't believe that I ever planted any of them.

That is a wonderful rose that i have. What you got though, were hellebore orientalis seedlings. I put the seedlings in reused cups i'd used to try to root roses to keep them upright and hydrated. There was a sign by them so folks didn't get confused, but i guess it didn't stay close by the whole time. I was lazy and didn't mark off all of the old names (there were 2 flats worth of cups and seedlings and i ran out of time)- figuring most folks would know that wasn't what was in them. Sorry! Tammy

Very nice plant, I don't think it would grow well in my part of the country.

A very tough plant and can be a bit of a spreader. Regrows from bits of root.
