Pawprint, I see a little contradiction in your comments. If sexual orientation doesn't matter and should be ignored (which is what I and so many others believe is right), then a list of who is or isn't gay shouldn't ever be relevant. See what I'm saying?

Extremists and fundamentalists of all types are problematic in my view.

It would be funny if I didn't know people actually believe this. The notion is the antithesis of being Christ-like, and I really think these nutjobs take pleasure in the notion that God punishes people whom they deem "sinners".

I am a Christian and find this just plain stupid. I don't care what color you are or if you are gay or straight. People deserve to live their own lives they they want.. I was always raised there is good in all people!!

I live in a 55+ community in Florida and they have canceled
all organized activities (including trash collection for tomorrow) until
Saturday due to the threat of the weather event. This hurricane won’t affect
me.

It is simple, I have a sign on my roof. Most people cannot
see it, even the missus. Basically, it indicates that “Jim” lives here.
Significant weather events just pass by. Every time I move, I bring the sign
with me.

To show that effective it is, a few moments ago I looked at
the weather radar and it showed several of the ‘outer bands’ of this current hurricane
approaching the county where I live. The sign did the trick, all dissipated
before getting close to my place.

The same thing happened with hurricane Hermine in August. We
had the hurricane warning in effect and I got a couple of small branches that
fell and less than 2” of rain in 24 hours. The sign was working its magic.

Are you worried about weather events? You might try a sign
on your roof like mine. Although you might need to use my name, I don’t know
about that!

Well now they say the hurricane is going in a circle & hit Florida twice. I might see that "Jim" sign blow by my house in Ohio!

Yah, if anyone knows anything about gay people, generally we are not evil people and don't wish harm to the straight community.

The straight people gave birth to us for goodness sakes, and for that we're thankful!!

Just like the shooting in Orlando with 50 killed & 50 injured. We didn't riot, loot or set fires to anything and we have also disappeared from the news completely.

Just goes to show you seldom go broke banking on the stupidity of some people and/or the gullibility of others. And there's a faction of politicians who count on it.

I know a lot of people that believe like this, they aren't out protesting, they just believe it. If you read the Bible and take what it says seriously, it teaches this. That is why I cannot in good conscience, believe in the word of the bible! To me the whole thing is just fear mongering written to direct people to act in a certain way. For as long as there is written documentation, the same stories have been told, people have always believed that natural disasters are the wrath of god. Unfortunately, we are just not smart enough to get past this antiquated way of believing. At times it almost seems that instead of becoming more enlightened through the years, that people are actually devolving into a more savage species. The savage in humans runs deep and rears its ugly head. If there was a god that punished man for being evil, this world would have been cleansed of humans thousands of years ago and certainly not for being gay! But rather for being savages!
