X-Post Climbing Vine - 10b/24

i posted over on the CA Gardening, and was suggested a should post over here for suggestions on climbing roses..

I'm not much of a gardener, but am doing bit of landscape work in my new home. I am looking to add a few climbing vines on trellises along my fence.

Here's what I'd like:

Flowering

Partial Shade/Sun

Semi drought resistant, but will have auto sprinkler

Not too aggressive or too finicky

Relatively easy to find, or order-able at Armstrong

My go to over the years has been jasmine, they are easy and fragrant. But they can look a little untamed. Also this spot is next to a jasmine "tree", so they would be redundant, as well as my neighbors have them coming through a shared trellis fence in another part of the yard. I've had Mandevillas, and they're a little blah. I've had Morning Glory and Bougainvillea, and although I think they are beautiful, too aggressive I think.

Any ideas for me?

I was thinking maybe sweet pea, pretty and fragrant, or maybe honeysuckle? I just feel like my experience is too narrow and limiting me.

Here's the space:

Far blank wall beyond the patio set

Same space on the right, remove the 2 planters with bamboo

I'd appreciate any advice.. To be honest I've always been intimidated by roses, with the pruning requirements.. Are some more manageable than others?
