Please help.... will my Japanese maple die?

So I have a fireglow Japanese maple that I planted about 3 weeks ago. It is in morning sun/afternoon shade zone 7a. It is about 4 1/2 feet tall. So I usually water this tree about once a week with a hose running on the rootball at medium flow. I let the hose run for about 20-25 minutes. So today I start watering the maple as usual but I completely forgot to turn the hose off! And it was an hour and 20 minutes of water running. So it got like 4 times more water than usual. Will this kill my Japanese maple? I'm worried it will get root rot. It also doesn't help the fact that its been very cloudy and chilly here for the past couple days. So the soil wouldn't dry up. And its supposed to be cloudy and scattered showers tonight through tomorrow as well... please help. Does anyone know if my Japanese maple will die from overwatering? The soil has very good drainage btw.
