You haven't really given enough visual information. RL Relocation's idea of priming white will make the given features stand out so you can see what palette you're workig with. You'll want to enhance the golden browns of the stonework, which is attractive. In no way does that pink work with the house's features. At least your landscaping is in good shape. Consider permanently removing the shutters, which really don't work well on ranches. If you can afford a new garage door, a reddish golden brown wooden garage door would hugely upgrade your ranch especially since it seems to be on the entrance side.

Mick50 I like what you're suggesting with hat modern dark and natural wood look. Except that I have this fear of doing anything too on trend and then feeling like its out of date down the road. Though, guess how the kitchen is designed?! Hale Navy cabinets, hardwood floor and a butcher block island so we do have that look going on in the kitchen! I'm really struggling with finding what i like and just going for it with this desire to be timeless. Its paralyzing because i like what's on trend but then worry that it'll look dated(argh!) Having said all that, what you suggest is exactly what i asked for.... stylish and stunning. I think what i'm wanting is something more timeless. Think Father of the Bride House but updated and a tract housing ranch (where's the laughing crying emoji?!) so at this point i'm trying to figure out which colors (hide) the anderson white windows) and make it look as timeless and almost Hollywood Regency or stylish cottage as possible (is that a thing?)

Thank you all for your help. Yes cat_ky, the house has been ignored for 25-30+ years. I grew up in the house and just took it over -- I look forward to giving it new life. So Color Zen and cat_ky, would you do the entire house in the blue-green/grey combo or would you make the horizontal siding and garage door white (is that considered trim too)? And by minimizing the corbel, should I just paint it whatever the background color is? I definitely am planning on getting rid of the shutters! HU-187528210, I considered painting it all white, but I can't remove the stone and my neighbor next door has an all white house that is much nicer than mine. I'll let it out if it's ok, that the tall tree isn't fresh -- looks ...tired. ;) Maybe out aways from house, brightest succulents would draw the eye on toward the house... Firesticks can have subtle colors ok with light yellow... is paint in bad condition? I ask cause seems other parts could be spent on.
