Yesterday my camera club went to a nature park - all the animals are here because they are either injured or can't live in the wild for some reason. I'll share more pics throughout the week.

The closest I have come to getting a picture of a Monarch butterfly this year. I have had perhaps only a half dozen sightings of one fliting about in the last 2 months or so. This one refused my pleas to show itself better for a pic. Sure hope it has a safe journey to Mexico.

Comments (12)Yesterday we had a big party at our house, for my 50th B-day. One of the dishes I made was oven roasted winter squash that grew in our garden. The plant looked like this: The squash was enormous -- the one I picked was 25 lbs! Bear Creek Regional Park, here in Colorado Springs had goats brought in to eat the shrubbery. I got there just as they were unloading and got some nice pics. I love this little kid! Then, a tv station asked me for an interview!
