Street Kitchen, anyone?

I've bought these Street Kitchen kits at Walmart for $2.50 each. I think there's more than a dozen in the international line, which seems to be mostly Asian and Mexican. They come with spices and a sauce, plus the ones I've tried so far also included a ginger-spice paste to coat the beef or chicken, and one had sesame seeds to sprinkle on top.

A couple of times I substituted tofu for the chicken or beef. You also need to add vegetables. They suggest onions and sliced peppers in the ones I've tried, but since I can't have peppers I substituted mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli. Oh, green beans one time too.

This seems like a much more economical choice than meal deliveries like Hello Fresh or Blue Apron, which also require cooking. Granted, with Street Kitchen you have to supply some of the ingredients, but many are provided for you. I think the kits are good, and my daughter-in-law agrees. We love Asian food.
