That sounds like something I'd really be interested in. I don't try a lot of new recipes because of the additional spices and ingredients you have to purchase. Thanks for the post, Alisande.

I think these seem like a good way to try out new flavors. Certainly, they are more economical than a meal kit, but the advantage of the meal kit is that everything is delivered to your door which is nice if you cannot shop for some reason.

That seems like a good idea because you get just the amount of spices you need and as some one said, they are expensive. Not to mention the fact that you may use them once and never again. My daughter gets Blue Apron occasionally but I think it's kind of silly. The amount of packaging used to keep the food frozen and/or cold is ridiculous.

Sounds very interesting and they seem to get good reviews. However, in looking at the website it is saying that one serving is 1/4 cup . It says that there are four servings per package which means one cup total. I can't imagine that a quarter of a cup would satisfy anyone . Am I missing something?

I would say it makes four servings, but that won't necessarily serve four people. With the rice, and with my vegetables rather than their sliced peppers, each serving is a lot bigger than 1/4 cup. I made the dish in the photograph today, using mushrooms, onion, zucchini, and some leftover broccoli, along with a 14-oz. package of tofu. My daughter-in-law and I were very hungry, and we both had seconds. Then her 2-year-old had a little. One very large or two medium servings remained.

Fran, I hadn't thought about how those delivered meals must be packaged. Oy. As if we didn't already have more than enough stuff to dispose of.

Sounds interesting. I would give them a try if not too spicy. How spicy are they? I counted 20 different ones. That is a lot of choices. What was the price?

The heat level is rated. The ones I've tried so far were rated Mild. They had a bit of a kick, but not much. I don't like very hot-spicy food, and neither does my DIL. I pay $2.50 apiece.

Alisande, thanks for sharing. These look interesting; I'l check for them in my store. I looked into Hello Fresh and some of the others and found them very expensive. I just looked at the link for these and they sound very good. We love ethnic foods and they look easy to make.
