What chervil2 said. In addition.... the 'chocolate mint' doesn't like a mint at all. I would ask for a replacement.

Where are you situated? Is there a reason these plants can't be outside? I don't know what 13 PHZ is. Can you enlighten us?

Hi Chervil2, The vendor told me to water it until it's back to the fresh state. This plants also very uncommon in the town I stayed and had to imported from larger town from the next province so I couldn't get it locally (I tried go around and ask but all I get is Rosemary that has been shipped from another province too and it's now has died despite the facts that it was fresh at the beginning of my purchases).

Hi Floral_UK, I was told to wait for 14 days to see if the plants died completely or not and my money will be transferred back. I'm situated south of the equator in a small town near the mountain. It's mildly cool here (gets hot at 13:00) and the reason I keep it inside is because it's raining all day lately and I read that lavender is a drought-preferring plant. I'm in Plant Hardiness Zone 13.

How often are you watering them Christian? I can't tell if the soil in the first photo is damp or if it's just very rich potting mix.

When you say you planted them in a "mix of compost and mulch", do you mean that you mixed the mulch in with the compost? Because I'd say that could cause some problems depending on the type of mulch. It's best to keep the mulch all above the soil line, otherwise it'll be sucking the nutrients out of the soil.

The mint will love the rain. I'd put it outside.

Sophie, I saw people talking about Plant Hardiness Zone but IDK nvm. It's damp and also a very dark compost (I don't think it's a potting mix). I put the mulch and compost on layers. I'll put the mint outside right away. The vendor says to water it until it back to it's fresh state (from shipment) so I give it a bunch of water upon arrival and mist it daily.

Christian - those plants would still be better off outside. They are very clearly showing signs of too little light. If it is raining make sure the mix they are growing in is fast draining and give them some shelter. Concoct a little roof out of something - anything. Even a chair placed over them during showers. They really must must have more light. Lavender doesn't actually prefer drought. What it prefers is good drainage. It grows well in the UK and we don't exactly have a dry climate here.

UPDATES: Thanks for all who've been helpful, but sadly the plant has been died out due to unknown circumstances. I've put it out 2 days ago, put it under the shade (it get full sun from 6-10 am). The mints are still struggling so I put them back in to see will it improve or not.
