They do send all products, but try contacting them to see if they have a relationship with a decor store near you - just makes it easier. The furniture store I deal with is a distributor, so they help me pic the colour etc and then order the sample pot for me. This has a couple of advantages - if they have several samples coming on one order, you don't have to pay as much shipping (the shipping is as much as the sample pot where I am), and also it comes by post if you order it yourself and if you're north like we are the paint can freeze by the time I get home from work and rescue it from the mailbox (becomes a clumpy mess). Also, when I went to order online, I got a message saying there site wasn't secure and I wasn't comfortable using my credit card. If you do decide to order directly, use the toll free number to order rather than the online site. Budge (who is still waiting on her 2nd sample pot and wondering why the 1st sample is never "the one"?)

I'm not such a fan of Aura on cabinets - or furniture - at this point. I've done both. I'm not overly impressed. Painting cabinets with Aura needs an extender added -- it's a helpful step for DIY or pro. The result? I'm just kinda "meh". There are so many other products that cost less than Aura and work just as well. Unless it's a dark or super dark color, then Aura is a really good choice. But the whites, off-whites, creamier colors - there are better options than Aura. For instance, go big with Fine Paints of Europe and Farrow and Ball for the uber luxe look and colors. Or go perfectly affordable, easy to apply, looks great, long-lasting finish with Cabinet Coat. Aura doesn't knock my socks off in this specific category. I believe that BenM porch product is for use interior AND exterior - wouldn't say that's not a viable option to explore.

I'm so drawn to this part of the spectrum, even though I don't like "blue" per se. The room is beautiful--both your and allison's pics look like they come from a beautiful book on color. I am trying to figure out how I can get F&B to my house...in the meantime, I found a BM color, "storm cloud gray", that is in the same realm as Pigeon--darker than the French or Blue grays. I am still working on finding any kind of approximation for the lighter colors. I know BM isn't the same at all--I can tell just from the photos you all have supplied. It's such a small room--maybe I'll just figure out a way to have some F&B sent to me and it will be my splurge...you know, unlike the rest of the house LOL...

Hi - F&B Pigeon is a near neutral greyed colour from the Green-Yellow Hue Family. ALL low Chroma (near neutral) colours from this Hue Family neighbourhood, are prone to shifting blueish in imbalanced lighting. The impact of varying qualities of light upon Pigeon, is the reason why there are differing opinions about the colour. To some it will appear an almost neutral grey, others will see more of its inherent greenness and others get moments of blueness.
