Concerned about height of Bosch slide in range and counter height
Comments (18)How did the installation go? Also I just wanted to let you know one other thing. When we got our range, the installer told us we needed a back piece to it that we had to order because ours in not in the island so it goes up against a wall and we have not had our new counters put in yet. It was pretty expensive to get the piece that goes along the back and the stainless steel piece goes 6 inches up the wall too. I didn't think I wanted this look. When I sat down that night though to read through the manuals, I noticed in the installation guide that you can get a free back piece that does not go up the wall for FREE! So if you have the same dilema I did, make sure you check the installation guide for the number. I called and they shipped it immediately. Best of luck!...See MorePost pics if you paired granite with glossy cabinets?
Comments (5)Try google, then click on images, like "glossy cabinets and black granite", lots of pictures at the link below high gloss cabinets and black granite You could also go with a honed granite or soapstone. I have to say, though, that most high gloss cabinets are in more modern kitchens, so they are combined with counters that little or no movement. Also, the counters are usually matte. So it's not really the granite per se that's not used but rather not a lot of granites are used because most granites have movement and are shiny. You can find quite a few high gloss kitchens that have wood counters, for instance....See MoreCountertop thickness, plywood or not?
Comments (2)They can be the same height, just not immediately adjacent and the same height. As to stone top thickness, it seems to be a regional thing. Out west 2cm with a plywood underlayment and a built-up front edge is popular, every else 3cm with no underlayment is used. I prefer the latter....See More1/2" Thick Polished Pure White Kitchen Countertop (Quartz) - Advice?
Comments (1)Is there any way you can get a sample of the White Zeus before you commit to buying it? The reason I ask is that there are a lot of complaints about white staining. You can search this site and find several threads about it, and the best advice is to get a sample and test it out for yourself. I did this when I was considering white quartz, and while I was not considering White Zeus, one of my samples did not pass my stain test in that I had trouble getting plain yellow mustard off it. I wound up going with a more mottled/chunky looking quartz that had white but wasn't plain white. You may also want to consider Glacier White Corian if you want that European look. I am unsure of the thickness it comes in though....See More- 7 years ago
