I have a good friend who is Polish/Slavic. She does these with the old fashioned wax method and was going to teach me..only I have never had the time. I do supply her with eggs, however. LOL. Several years ago I even bought the little hangers and bottom caps from a jewelry supplier to finish the eggs off to hang from a "tree" ( not orthodox, I suppose, but I wanted to do it anyway). It's on my 'to do' list, but I suppose shall be a clumsy attempt. That is just beautiful.

Cindee - my apologies for being so derelict in wishing Dennis all my best -- actually both of you. Was not on for a few days and didn't even realize he had had surgery. I'm sorry he's hurting and wish him a quick recovery. Hang in there. I'm glad you live down there where it's warm. To everyone - Just love those pretty pictures. Thanks to everybody for posting. I simply cannot tell you all how much I appreciate seeing these gorgeous blooms. I got addicted back in 1999 or 2000 when I bought a ton of bulbs from Garden.com as they were going out of business. They were the really good ones like Snow White. Then they rotted from the rain here in NJ (the "Garden State" - ha!) and I ended up with very small bulbs. They just kinda hung out for a few years because I got discouraged, but last summer I took really good care of them and it shows. With all of your "help" I'm more addicted than ever and have close to 200 bulbs (small ones included) so I'm like a runaway train now. Someday, as they bloom, I'll have spares to share (i.e., there's a whole pot of several) - just need to confirm what they are. My new Pink Floyd is just sitting there sleeping, but someday he'll wake up and smile at me. Jodi (and others whose bulbs are growing now) - Keep up with their feeding schedule and keep checking in and adding to your "long" list as you see ones you would like to order in the fall.

I loved all the pastel colors. They also hide 1 gold egg. Everyone pitches in $5.00 if they want to hunt for the egg. It is hidden in a harder to find place. Mom and I donated $20.00 but didn't hunt. DGD found it, and won the $80.00 that was collected. It was hidden in the tub of iced down beer/pop. That had to have been cold. She didn't follow through on the agreement she made with her brother on the way over there though. They told each other if they found the gold egg, that the other would get 20% of the money. She didn't share.
