Comments (5)Don't feel bad about it. It's not like we all haven't done it at one time or another. I just spent several months going from store to store, trying to find 5/8 inch drip line. My whole system is 5/8, which apparently is no longer available. There is no such thing as an adapter to reduce 5/8 to the 1/2, which is the only thing available. Oh duh. I just figured out I can buy the 1/2 inch, put a garden hose adapter on the end and simply screw it together with the already existing garden hose adapter on on 5/8 inch line. No kidding, I have been to every plumbing and garden store in the county....See MoreWANTED: I have just fell in love with Daylilies

Comments (7)Sadly, we can't keep it now. For one thing, I found out the cost of matching the tile to the area which does not have it, would be approximately $2000. I never expected that, had no idea new encaustic tile was that much money let alone that wasn't even the price to exactly match it, just for some other encaustic tile in general - I never even got around to asking how much it would be for a special order. Once I found out the price of their stock line, that was that. Aside from that anyway, when demolition began it really dinged up the edges of the existing tile rather badly. I had to take a hard look at the situation and when my BF even admitted that he felt it might be the wrong move to try and salvage it (he, I think, was more in love with it than I) I finally admitted defeat. I am now on a quest to try and figure out the best material to float over the floor. I've been told that laying regular ceramic over is the easiest method but I really would prefer a wood floor to match the rest of the house. So - not sure yet what's going to happen. Bummer for sure....See MoreI think I fell in love...
Comments (13)Oh, the butcher block is for prep, not as a landing space :-) but those insulated mats probably would not be a bad thing to have around! The Corian didn't even *feel* like plastic to me, but maybe that's because I had soapstone but now have the PO's granite, which makes my skin crawl when I put a glass down on it. It's so hard and unyielding. Does quartz have that same *clink* when you put things on it? Hard to tell from the sample. I love the softer feel of the Corian. I dragged my husband over there last night and he liked the Sagebrush; however, he did NOT like the MS Corians and the appearance of those really reinforced his whole knee jerk reaction to Corian - that its fake and plastic-y looking. They had really huge samples of the MS Corian, so my husband asked me to buy the 10x10 giganta sample so he can see how it looks blown up from 4x4. I wouldn't do an integrated sink because I am harder on a sink. I'm figuring silgranit no matter what countertop material I use. On Houzz there are a ton of Corian images. Most of them are very modern, for sure, but the material is pretty attractive in most of those applications. I would want a super beefy looking squared edge profile to mimic that look of concrete......See Morecluelessincolorado
