I'm infatuated lately with this site: https://www.surfaceview.co.uk/shop/walls/mural they have tons of images from museums, galleries, libraries..you can order mural from any of these, to your specifications. Also wallpaper, and even, with some of the images, window film, or tile, glossy or matte. The prices are not cheap but the shipping here is reasonable. I can't attend to their quality myself since I've never ordered from them yet; but the choice is wonderful and dreamy. I definitely stumbled upon more sites, because I love wallpaper and murals, but I can't remember the names right now. I'll add them if I remember. I'd still check Anthropologie from time to time-their inventory of wall coverings is constantly growing lately.

You are so helpful - I'd hate to do this without you! I'm 98% sure I'm going with the star and cross. I LOVE, LOVE the picket in the wave but those are big tiles and I'm afraid the impact would be lost with how the doorway breaks it up. Another wall, maybe the fireplace in the kitchen:) Regarding edges on the star and cross, I was told that a beveled edge would be the right treatment for the outside corner. Using Sketchup, here's what I came up with, with hopefully very exact dimensions and 1/4-3/8 grout lines, and the white clay body (which is a little smaller than the recycled). This shows the left side of the pantry, and then the front. In this case, tiling would start at that outside corner, which would be all beveled stars, cut in half. (Please ignore the discrepancy in grout colors; the right side would be what is desired). The 'messy' parts are the far left of the left side, and the far right of the front. I'll ask my designer for input. As you point out, I can tweak the width of the trim, but I believe this should be in place before tiling starts, no? Regarding grout color - current grout is TEC silverado (here's a closeup). I'll definitely mock up a few sample boards once the tiles arrive. Next up... line up a local installer (or remember who we used last time...).

I just looked at my old wallpaper invoice ... $123 a single roll seems like a bargain! I think we all have different spending patterns based on what we find important to us. I rarely shop for clothing, shoes, etc and still have classic pieces that are years old that I still wear. I could buy fancy designer stuff for my kids, but they are happy to shop at TJ maxx, etc ... but DH did take said kid to the super bowl and didn't skimp on seats or accommodations. I like driving so I spend on that item. If you can afford the wallpaper and it will make you enjoy your time at home then it seems like a good purchase for you.

That paper is gorgeous! Spoonflower has some great wallpapers in a Chinoiserie design. Here are the results when I searched for Chinoiserie Dragon. It may take some searching but I bet you could find something you love for less than the Schumacher. I have some wallpaper from them (peel and stick) and it was thick and really nice quality. You're going to want to do more laundry with such a pretty room!
