Kohler Karbon and Kohler Stages Sink?
Comments (1)We just had our Stages 45" sink installed on Saturday. We are not using a Karbon, but we are using a single faucet with a pull-down head. It reaches all the corners of the sink easily. There's also a very useful recent thread with pictures of the Kohler stages installed, by rjr220. There too, only one faucet was used. I'm putting the link below. Hope that helps in making your decision. Here is a link that might be useful: Kohler Stages sink faucet location...See MoreKohler Karbon and Shaws Apron 30' sink
Comments (6)Hi CalifKitchen - Sorry I was not clear, we ended up going with a pair of the faucets for the larger sink. I dropped in a pic below. I cannot imagine you would have problem with reach on the Karbon but cannot comment specifically on that. Regarding whether they go or not they go together, you have to stay true to what you like - I LOVE classic and modern together. I think the tension is interesting, and seems less dated to me than working within just one more consistent time trend. Your Shaw and Karbon remind me of the several classic pedestal sinks I have in my house all with modern faucets, I love them together! (But I am also a person who made choices that other people would not have, which is totally cool with me.) And as Fori points out, facuets are easy to replace, you could enjoy them for a few years and later change them out if you get tired of the combo. Just make sure the sink is a keeper! :-)...See MoreKohler stages 33 + prep sink OR the big bad stages 45 only?
Comments (5)Stages is a prep sink. If you're going to take advantage of its features, it's the place you prepare your ingredients. Since you have room for it, go for the big one. Part of the point is that you can use the accessories to make it into counter space as well. OTOH, if you tend to leave a lot of dirty dishes in your sink, hide them there, having a separate clean-up sink for hiding the dishes is a good idea. Alternatively, have you seen the Galley sink??...See MoreKohler Stages Sink - is the 33 ok?
Comments (7)brittu; I have the 45 version and I really like it. I find that I typically do not use the wood cutting board and the trays at the same time. What I really like the plastic trays are for using spice rubs on meats that I'm taking to the grill, and also for putting hot soapy water in the smaller one for holding meat-contaminated knives, so I don't contaminate the sink with just those. A couple months ago I posted my personal review of the sink. You may have read it already -- I do want to point out that I did not use the accessory tray below, but rather, put a drawer and a garbage pullout below the shallow end of the sink. I would def use the sink again -- if I was cramped for space I'd go with the smaller, but I do love the large size.
