A few more before the rain
Comments (8)Really good looking hosta. The more pictures the better. I've never seen a So Sweet with crinkly leaves before. None of the images in Hosta Library show crinkles. It is pretty though. I have one plant (None Lovelier) which crinkled up like that and it was from frost damage, or so I hope. Keep an eye on it in for any future eyes emerging that might have the usual leaf....See MoreRoses before the rain
Comments (32)Hi Carol - so far I like TPW because of the steady growth and fragrance. The yellow isn't as dark as I'd like once it opens up. The canes can be thin but some are showing more thickness and uprightness. I think it's bit too early to judge but overall I like it. I just got Charlotte as a tree standard and it's similar in color and fragrance but I'm happy with both so far. Maybe I'm not critical enough of the Austins which have generally done quite well for me, especially after the second or even third year. TPW about two weeks ago (mid-July) TPW blooms from last week - I wish it would stay this color. Ann...See MoreRoses before the rain..
Comments (14)Thanks Judy. I was just out there takin' pics of the girls, and didn't realize at the time what a silly story it worked out to be! But they are some silly birdies. Sooo entertaining. I'm with you Dan... I know we need the rain... but personally, I could do without it! Lol. Such a mess I had to fix out there in the chicken run this morning. The new section had sagged down and had about 50gal of water on the tarp we put over it. I had to get another 2x4 and push it up and push the water off the tarp... again. This time it went all over the inside of the new section, making everything all wet and messy. Oh well, the chickens had fun digging around in it throughout the day. I'm sure there were lots of bugs that came up for them to chow on. Thanks Sara-Ann!! Cori Ann I was so surprised to see that SILVER SHADOWS bloom looking so off color. Of course, I love it, but it's not the norm for that rose. Usually it's a good bit more lavender. Hope it does it again tho. So your rain was a misty drizzle? We had a pretty good downpour for several hours. Not exactly a torrential rain, thankfully, but it was no drizzle. Didn't last all that long tho. I suppose it'll start up again tomorrow......See MoreA few blooms before more rain
Comments (9)Thank you Lilyfinch! Crazy Love is a great rose, I think the blooms usually look better than the picture here, but like I said we just had a lot of rain. It has lots of buds on it right now, it’s just getting started. Like almost all my Kordes roses, it’s very healthy. Here’s a picture from last year...See Moredublinbay z6 (KS)
