I'm zone 6, sure sounds like nakend ladies. Mine are now yellowing also. I have moved mine when the foliage begins to die back, if only because that is when I can find them. They transplant quite well, although you might not get bloom this year, but you apparently wouldn't anyway. Mine are in full sun and are doing well there, but I have seen them in part shade & they were doing well. Congratulations on your lilies, I love mine. I haven't had mine that long, about 3 years, so don't have huge clumps yet, but they seem to be multiplying well. You may have lots of bulbs there.

Well, I still have not caught the possum. Where I thought he was all day is not where he was, apparently. Carol Ann, you are being sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad! I cannot pick him up. I am afraid of him. And I bet he is every bit as afraid of me! So, I have the live trap set in the living room. Baited with little cat food and a piece of orange. I think they like oranges. At least, from the looks of my Satsuma at harvest time, they like oranges! I am going to Austin on Thursday to watch my sweet little Grand Daughter graduate from high school. (BooHoo, the baby is grown up too fast!) I might talk to some of those people at the rehab places about taking this one. He/she is not hurt tho, would it be better to just turn it loose? I think (hope) doctors today have the mindset of sparing what organs they can. I've read/heard arguments on both sides of the story. Here's some info from the wall street journal health journal: Cutting Less More doctors are challenging the convention of removing the cervix during a hysterectomy. Here's why: * Pap smears have sharply reduced the incidence of cervical cancer. * Sparing the cervix reduces the risk of bladder damage. * Some doctors say it may improve sexual function. Some 600,000 hysterectomies are performed in the U.S. every year, making it the second-most common women's surgery after Caesarean section. It is done to remove cancers of the uterus or cervix, or more commonly to treat a painful condition called endometriosis or because of noncancerous uterine growths called fibroids. Prior to 1940, nearly all hysterectomies preserved the cervix because it was easier and safer given the lack of antibiotics and blood banks. But by the 1960s, removing the cervix, viewed as a cancer preventative at a time when Pap smears were still fairly new, became standard. Now the tide appears to be turning. In 2006, 9.7% of U.S. inpatient hysterectomies, which account for more than 90% of the procedures, preserved the cervix, compared with just 1.7% a decade earlier, according to federal data. ------- Just sharing that info, not saying they are right. If the console is going to be up against the couch, I wouldn't worry about a bottom shelf. You won't need it, because the couch will take the eye through the console and up from the floor in that little bit of space. Plus, with lamps and other items on the top of the table, nobody will see that little bit of floor under the table. Could you post other pieces that will be in the room? Glam but comfortable is an interesting description, but the tv cabinet you have posted doesn't really fit that. Would love to see the colorful chairs. Also as mentioned, it would help to know what size table you need to work behind the couch. What about something like this? It has an antique gold finish on the iron, a granite top, and an elegant but simple design, imo. table
