Gazania, I've been enjoying seeing them in my yard too. They ate the milkweed down to sticks and now are on the butterfly weed. The only time I have seen the chrysalis is when I kept one in a vase. Maybe I posted the chrysalis before (sorry if it's a duplicate).

I love meerkats!!! They are so adorable! Every once in a while my little dog sticks her head up out of her deep dog bed with her ears up and I tell her she is doing her meerkat look lol. Great pictures!

I haven't seen a Monarch yet this year. Nice one! This is one of many little round "button" fungi that popped up after our long rain. It was the largest--less than an inch in diameter.

4 years ago I planted the white Phlox 'David' and 20 feet away from it, I planted the deep pink Phlox 'Nicky'. They apparently got together and had children in several shades of pink.. This one is my favorite.
