Title 24 bathroom motion sensors
Comments (3)Regarding bathrooms, it is "either" however the fixtures must accommodate only "high efficacy" light bulbs (such as GU24 base CFLs for example). If the LED light bulbs and fixtures meet that criteria, the they do not need occupancy sensors. If the LEDs are medium base screw in light bulbs, into standard fixtures, that would then require occupancy sensors. If in addition to the "high efficacy" lighting you also use some "low efficacy" fixtures, then those fixtures must use occupancy sensors....See MoreHow to replace bathroom motion sensor switch with single pole switch?
Comments (2)Unless I'm missing something, you're just pull the motion sensor and replace it with a regular switch. Connected the two wires (red, black) that now go to the motion sensor to the new switch. Doesn't matter which wire goes to which screw on the new switch. Make sure the new switch is grounded as well....See MoreBathroom fans with built-in humidity sensor vs. humidity wall switch?
Comments (9)I don't have a wall sensor - or at least so far as I know. The HVAC guy went into the ceiling vent installation and made the adjustment for me - it was karma that he happened to be there when it was starting to get annoying. It seems to have been a very simple adjustment for him to do as he was only in there for a minute or so - and didn't charge me As I wrote prior to his adjusting it to make it less "sensitive" (as I think he said) it would go on and off with no rhyme or reason. It was a bit eerie because literally nothing had happened in the bathroom to alter the ambient moisture in the slightest - no hands being washed or towels being hung. It would literally just start and stop by itself. I really like the automatic aspect of it so I would urge you to attempt to correct the issue so that it works properly as evidently the default setting which you probably have (and which I probably had) was causing it to be over-active....See MorePoop smell sensor to turn on bathroom fan automatically
Comments (7)I realize that you ask this in jest but the Toto washlets actually have a deodorizing function that runs automatically. It seems to work quite well as my bathroom is not odiferous. Also you can get a smart diffuser like the Aera diffuser which runs from an App on your iPhone. It doesn't sense gas levels but it does make using the diffuser easy especially since you get schedule it and/or have it go off automatically after a timed interval - or just turn it off and on remotely through your phone. I have these - not specific to my bathroom but I love using them in bedroom and living room. I have one in my guest bath and I will generally start it when I have people over - even if there aren't any "smells" per se it is a nice ambient touch. And I don't have to deal with risky candles....See Morehomepro01
