Whirlpool dishwasher rinse aid leaking from the cap
Comments (4)I have a Kenmore Elite that also leaks but mine leaks out from around the whole dispenser. There will be 10-15 little streaks running down the door into the tub. After filling it takes about 3-4 days for it to be empty again so I just stopped using the rinse aid. I was going to replace the part but then I was having problems with it cleaning for a while---seems that started when the rinse aid went bad. Now the washing seems to be better but ONLY if I use Cascade Complete liquid. Anything else and I have all the particles on the dishes again. I had always used Jet Dry then I switched to the Jet Dry Turbo. I also wondered if that was what caused mine to fail although I tried the original since then and it leaks out also. Mine must have a bad seal?? Don't know what to tell you about yours other than just replace it, OR maybe when you empty it go back to Jet Dry and see if that helps. Do you think it could be too full?...See MoreAnyone use vinegar as a rinse aid in Bosch DW?
Comments (2)Info I found using Google says white vinegar is used to clean stainless steel. Vinegar will prevent scum and calcium deposits. I personally have used white vinegar in my porcelain interior dishwasher for many years with no problems. I also use white vinegar in agitator type older washing machine for years and the interior is free of soap scum in and around the agitator, clean, clean....See Moredishwasher drying without rinse aid
Comments (2)When you are checking with different manufacturers, ask them the wattage of the heating element. That should tell you how well they will dry also.(higher watts-faster dry) Frigidaire has some models out now with a feature called Sahara Dry that is supposed to dry very well-but I don't know how well they wash. GEProfile has a new racking system called "angle dry" or something like that that lets the water run off better for better drying. I also think GE has a rather large heating element. This is just somethings I thought might help you out in your search for a machine....See MoreTell me about rinse aid for dishwashers
Comments (17)I think the dispenser just wasn't full, thanks morz8. What I had was a sample that came with the dishwasher, it held all of it but I didn't look to see where the full line was and I don't know how much was in that tiny bottle because I threw it away. I know it was pretty small though, maybe only 2 ounces. So I bought a large bottle and filled it up and YES I did over fill it because you cannot really tell when it's full and plus it's really hard to get it in that tiny little fill spot. Then I got out a funnel and that's when I over filled it. HA! I'm going to have to find a better container to put it in to dispense it properly. Maybe one of those hair color dispensers/applicators from Sally's with the pointed top....See Moredesignsaavy
