A Few August Blooms
Comments (8)Carol, that's funny. Maybe that's why I like PP's fragrance so much. You probably do have toads. You just need water to attract them. I made a little in-ground water feature in my garden/nursery just for fun which I think it's attracted to because of all the tasty snacks that are there for him/her. Do you have any kind of pond or ground-level water in your garden? I dug a trench and took some pond liner and put a layer of grey river rock that you see in the toad photo. There's a sprayer there to fill it with water each day and I wash it out every few days to get rid of mosquito larvae. I think the little guy's pretty happy. :-)...See MoreMy early August blooms
Comments (30)Thanks Krista! I wish WS2000 was as prolific as Munstead Wood but he has distinct flushes and I’m always glad to see his ruffled petals that sometimes form a charming heart shape. Thanks Stephanie! My lot is 9600 sq feet which is big compared to many of the new construction in my neighborhood. We moved in exactly 20 years ago and I’m grateful to have what I have. People near by have multi-acre properties with vineyards and lovely open space which could be hard to give up if you’re used to lots of land. I’ve wondered if I could manage such a large space and I’m probably better off with my lot but I keep seeing more roses I’d like to buy. :)) Ann...See MoreMid August Blooms

That's the reason I may end up not registering it. The red late is the one that keeps in color in the hottest temepratures. It's the perfect daylily to be blooming in July and August. Comments (8)WLK looks good. I like Yada Yada Yada. Love4 the Clowns in Washington name. By the way, your box is on the way finally. Laura's rain bands delayed it and I am glad I got it off yesterday since we are in the midst of several days of rain now. kay...See MoreBrad KY 6b
