Wanted: affordable, modern-looking shower-tub combination
Comments (5)We have a Kohler Sonata Shower Module in our kid's bathroom. I realize that you are looking for a different combination but wanted to let you know that the acrylic module is holding up great. The house is about 20 years old and for a long time the Sonata must have been the only shower in the house. Other than the shower glass doors that clearly show the signs of age (spots and etching that does not come out anymore) the acrylic is holding up great. No scratches, no stains, still looking like new. Easy to clean. Hope this helps....See MoreBacksplash- WZ tile and above range area
Comments (20)Here is a niche, and the tile on one on my inspiration pictures, (I really love it). Breezy, are you thinking of a different WZ tile? Regarding your niche (I am so jealous, can't tell you how hard I tried to put one in behind our backsplash), one option is to use the same tile. My preference is to shy away from the 'focal point'/separate material behind the cooktop, think that the niche in and of itself is a very nice focal point. Comments (23)y'all are so nice! spincrazy, I haven't been able to find the Adex in the stores around me - may have to try some more places. petepie, I saw the WZ sale, but no, nothing in the colors that work. :( Hi skeetie, yes I went with Raul. One bump - miscommunication about the overhang on the peninsula meant I had to switch the electric plan, but it's okay, it worked out, and I can't complain - my fault as much as his. I wanted the TB but the slabs at OHM weren't what I remembered and Ankur was closed for a few weeks so I couldn't check there. They all had too much gray or too much red and green... I ended up with Namibian Gold. It wasn't what I started out for, but it works well with my cabinets, and it was cheaper than the TB, which was really good for my overstretched budget. sweeby, I'm not sure about trims, I've been trying to figure that out. The Gramercy Park trims are really nice but I'm not sure if they'll work in my kitchen - they seem more formal? Oh, I showed my friend in Brooklyn the WZ and she looked at me like I was crazy. Comments (26)Carree, I could've sworn I posted a response to your photo but I don't see it there. Beautiful tile with so much character! I am looking into each and every source that everyone has taken the time to post for me. Thank you! Romy, I do like the edge, it's just a little different than what I originally told the fabricator I wanted (ogee stacked on straight edge). He came to template and installed the perimeter counters the next day. At that time he discussed with me his idea for the island edge (it is only slightly different) and I told him to go for it! I will post pics shortly but the ceilings are being sanded and it's quite a mess right now. Hopefully everything but the backsplash will be done by the end of the week and I will post then. You haven't posted final pics of your kitchen yet, have you? Want to make sure I didn't miss it!!...See Moresjh53
