Automotive Tool Comparison: Pneumatic VS Battery Powered

Despite having worked on vehicles for over 15 years I've never used pneumatic tools. I have a 60-gallon air compressor for sandblasting but I would like some insight on whether the battery powered portable impacts have more oomph than the air impacts of comparable size.

I use a 20v Dewalt Brushless 1/4" with 1/2" and 3/8" adapters and it tends to remove 90% of small to medium size nuts/bolts, even some lug nuts. The downside is that it can be difficult to fit in small areas. I also have a 12v Hitachi 1/4" right angle impact and it doesn't have nearly the power of the 20v Dewalt, however I can squeeze it in small areas but it lacks the torque for most tough bolts. What I'm looking at is possibly purchasing a pneumatic ratchet that fits in tight areas. I am wondering if these have enough power to remove tough bolts like an exhaust manifold bolt for example.

I also use a 20v Dewalt 1/2" impact. This is a very heavy and awkward tool to squeeze even underneath a car. It does remove rusty bolts and can even snap them off. It has no problems removing lug nuts. However, it must have a full charge to work at full power. It sometimes will go through a full battery charge when removing tough bolts (with the 3ah battery even). There are many bolts i was unable to remove and had to pull out the breaker bar. Are the air impacts more powerful?

The air ratchet i am looking at is rated at 50lbs torque. I believe my 1/4" Dewalt battery powered impact is somewhere around 135lbs torque. I don't know if these numbers mean anything when comparing air pressure to battery charge.
