2 male bluebirds dead in the yard

Hi all.

we usually (for the past 15 years or so) have 2 or 3 Bluebird nestlings in our boxes each summer.

This year we had 5 eggs hatch and all seemed well. I waited a day after fledging to clean out the box and unfortunately there were two dead nearly grown babies in there. In the next couple of days we found 2 adult male bluebirds dead on our property. They were intact, didn't look like they were attacked or sick. No other dead birds - just 2 male bluebirds. I'm a little puzzled. I was thinking maybe they were somehow poisoned from something they ate. We don't use anything in our yard. But wouldn't other birds be affected too? We had a successful Tree Swallow nesting right next to the BB box, too. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated. That effectively ended the bluebird nestlings for this year, sadly. Thanks all
