Dreamy Marfil Quartz vs. Crema Marfil Marble

I know this is an age-old question. But, the first time for me. I do not know which to choose. I believe the Quartz is easier to maintain but wondering if anyone would provide their personal experience with the crema Marfil for a bath countertop.

For what its worth, we needed two slabs of Dreamy Marfil for some tub surround and wainscoting behind the toilet in our recent bathroom reno. When it came in, the fabricator said it looked almost identical to Crema Marfil Marble.

Quartz will usually be the #1 most durable counter top material. With that being said, marble is a lot more delicate and needs to be maintained. Usually, people solve their dilemma buy picking a quartz that looks identical to the marble pattern. Caesarstone is one of the leading quartz companies - I think you would be very impressed with the performance of quartz!

Hi all I am having the Dreamy Malfi installed next Monday!!! I purchased Kraftmaid Biscotti cabinets with cocoa glaze from Home Depot and I shopped for 3 weeks with my cabinet door to every granite, quartz and natural stone warehouse within a 20 mile radius. I finally walked into a Kitchen Design shop in the Boston area and spoke to a decorated who brought me a 12x12 piece of dreamy malfi and that was it...I will post a photo next week but it is so beautiful and warm...Best of luck, I found it to be the hardest part of doing the whole kitchen....Tomorrow I am going for the backsplash hopefully that will be easier..

Is your kitchen open to another room, like a family room? I had the same dilemma as you describe. The rest of my house is decorated in warm colors so I thought I had to stay away from gray. Most of the slabs I loved were gray. I ended up with Imperial Danby Marble (white with mostly brown & some gray subtle veining). I did redecorate my attached family room. Guess what paint color my designer chose? La Paloma Gray. It looks fine with the rest of my house.

I would do as much of a single type of flooring selection as possible. the home will flow better and not be chopped up. I would continue whatever flooring surrounds your kitchen into your kitchen.

I second Chanel's comment. I went with the Caesarstone Dreamy Marfil for my recent master bath remodel and I absolutely love it!! I love the look of marble but didn't even consider due to the maintenance involved.
