Kitchen Color Help!
Comments (2)I would suggest going with white vs. gray for the cabinets so they visually blend in with the appliances and I think your idea of a light soft pumpkin color for the walls would be nice....See MoreKitchen colors help!
Comments (5)I like the green cabinets and the wood on the island but I think if you use green on the walls too, you’re over doing it with the green. IMO in your space less is going to be more. Using a creamy off white on your walls won’t cause the space to loose the asthetic your going for; it will just brighten the room a bit and allow the cabinets to be a focal point. Also, it’s not the color of the wall that will make the room feel like a mountain cabin, it’s the elements that you bring into it that will accomplish that. The lighting, your backsplash, even the hardware you use on the cabinets....See MoreKITCHEN Color Help
Comments (3)I love the idea of blue and white but Hale Navy might feel too dark (almost black) in your kitchen. Take a look at Benjamin Moore Van Deusen Blue HC-156 for a navy that will let the blue show through. Decorator's White actually is quite gray so also look at Benjamin Moore Super White which is a little lighter. For the walls I would choose a light gray to pick up some of the tones in the floor tile. Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray HC-170 is lovely and if you're looking for something lighter Benjamin Moore Paper White OC-55 would also coordinate well. I love your accessories but they are cluttering up the counters and making your kitchen feel smaller. Keep the ones that you truly love and maybe donate a few. You can also use the shelf above the doorway to display your favorite teapots....See MoreKitchen Color Help
Comments (4)is the top raw or finished? if there is already a top coat on it, you can't stain it unless you completely sand it raw again. you'd have to check on that. if it's raw, you don't want to stain it and leave it because it's not food safe. I'd just get something like Waterlox and top it with that. The size and the price you have listed is the smaller one, for 399. the one in your picture is this size, it's the larger one for (599.00) Kitchen island, off-white, oak, 126x77 cm I just looked up the info on it. it's 2.95 feet tall and this is what is says about the wood top: Worktop with a thick oak veneer, a hardwearing natural material that can be sanded and surface treated when required. For quick installation and easy maintenance the worktop is pre-treated with hard wax oil. so which one are you actually getting and what size do you need? you could prob make something like these or find an island like this one. as for the kitchen table and chairs, what is the table now? I'd prob just paint it white and paint the chairs the same as the island color...See Moreonthefence
