Sorry, I didn't get any pictures, it was all I could do to get them in the ground between storms. But they were nice plants,big healthy roots, multiple eyes, some slightly unfurled but most not. Which is good, considering we might get hail tonight! They were well packed and fresh. Not that I worry about getting wet, but mudding plants in is not good. When the soil is too wet, it packs too toghtly and forces the oxygen out of the soil. Besides, yes, there is lightning and lots of it! Slickers are for wimps, Ken, just get wet. There's no soap in that water, nothing to be afraid of, haha! Sandy

Nice root systems with divisions of mature plants attached to them. ===>>> really??? division.. rather than potted or uncut plant ??? if so.. there is no damage to complain if ... in the day ... they used to snip off the leaves.. and send.. what looks like rooted grocery store plants ... you bought future potential .... and you got it ... your excitement.. will be at reflush ... i think you peeps have to be careful.. between comparing a potted ... or uncut full plant ... with fresh cut divisions ... and adjust your expectation accordingly ... a fresh cut division.. is all about buying.. a mature ROOT MASS ... as compared to what you can jam into a 2.25 inch pot ... as to the shipper... what can i say.. they got you a live plant ... besides complaining ... which its too late.. since you took them out of the package ... what are your damages??? you dont like a couple leaves??? you got a great haul.. ken

second to last pic.. the tape should be 6 to 8 inches higher ... right under the leaves .. and if there is s shorty.. ignore it.. and tape higher .... in a few weeks.. the tape will fall off by itself.. or the hosta will break it off ... just force them to stand up tall ... they will not recover if they flop ...and i mean those leaves will not recover ... NOT the plant ... cant kill those if you want .... great haul ... perhaps the first.. but i doubt the last ... lol ken

two things.. first .. good job... i thought of making cement in rain.. so what.. its better than anything you could have dreamed up with a bucket in the house... it will be very simple to replant it in a few days ... second.. i tape things so tight ... they stand up on their own... if you need a stake ... its not taped good enough ... i never figured out how to make a stake ... with a large division.. stand up.. in loose soil ... exciting times... ken
