I was actually wondering if Bill was trying to torpedo Hillary's run at the presidency. Perhaps he's afraid of been shown up in history as the lesser of the two.

I believe that the conversation was likely just as C and LL reported. Bill Clinton cannot help his jovial gadflying self. I'm guessing he didn't _think_ about doing something that could and would be misconstrued.

Maybe he's got "I can stop talking and shaking hands and hobknobbing" disorder.

I agree with y'all. What was he thinking? He's a smart guy, just wave hello and move on by. blfenton, I had the same thought. Maybe he doesn't want her to be prez so he's undermining her. Or maybe he doesn't want to be called "First Man." I recall something else he did a while back that made me wonder.

I don't think it's intentional, I think he's just not as wise in that area as many might think and Hillary just doesn't have the staff needed to babysit him. At least not the way the Democrates did when he was the one running/in office. Even then he did what he had his misses.

I have a slightly different take on the Clintons. This thought occurred to me a few years ago and it seems to hold true. I think they are both extremely bright individuals, probably the brightest in their classes and social circles and as a result they've become accustomed to believing they are right - right about everything they do and think. Hence Hilly and her private email server, Bill and his denials, and there is a long history of this behavior. Combine that attitude with their legal skills and they can usually out - argue anyone who comes along. And admitting they are wrong is extremely difficult for them.

I think is Bill is going into decline mentally and physically. He's said and done some things in the last few months that he wouldn't have done in the past. I don't think Hillary's health is all that great either.

I think he absolutely did it on purpose, to get the AG to recuse herself and then take months and months to finally appoint an independent prosecutor. They don't do ANYTHING without meaning to. They are as dirty as they come.

I too, believe it was a ploy to get the Att. Gen. to remove herself from the decision making. Clintons do everything very calculated, with self serving motives.

Adela, I have wondered about health issues too. When E. Warren spoke with Hillary, I thought Hillary seemed somewhat ill at ease or uncomfortable standing so long. A stool was nearby, and for a few seconds she rested on it.
