Search results current for Reviews! glitch with some other forums
Comments (0)The great news is that the search function is now bringing up current results and letting you access them on the Rate and Review forum. However, there is a glitch with it for sites that reside on forums2.gardenweb.com (like the Seed Exchange) rather than forums.gardenweb.com (like Rate and Review.) For those forums, it returns results but doesn't let you view the messages. I have reported this as a technical problem and posted the details on the Suggestions forum. Comments (2)I'm pretty sure it's GW, not google. It's another in the long list of glitches that GW/iVillage is apparently aware of and supposedly is working on. But there has been zero improvement since this started two weeks or so back. It does render the site pretty useless from an archive standpoint... all that valuable information lost. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. All I can figure is that the current 67 pages are available, but everything else is gone unless they get it fixed. I had bookmarked a number of pages for reference and can't access half or more of them. At least we all still have each other to answer questions, but it means starting over again every time a question is asked....See MoreGardenWeb needs your feedback!
Comments (60)Another vote for having a list of one's own postings; your profile page would be a good place, and is currently underused anyway. It would also be helpful to have the USENET protocol of the choice between collapsing and expanding threads, wherein you can see the names of all posters to a particular thread and the dates of each of their posts (but you'd have to click on the name to read what they posted). This is another way of "following" posters whose comments you are particularly interested in. Yes to a better search feature; Google currently works better than GW's. Comments (66)Could less people who would normally be posting questions, have been out buying plants, sheltering at home? Or maybe too busy with kids home schooling with the schools shut, and maybe trying to remotely work from home at the same time?
