Comments (13)For years I have used http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en with gardenweb.com in the domain field. This allows for a variety of inclusions and exclusions in the keyword and phrase fields. The display of sort order is unfamiliar but one can quickly get accustomed to this by adding and deleting keywords and phrases. Once one finds what one wants there are several ways to save that thread. If one wants to save it brieflly just drag the address to a gray bar usually found below the address or bookmark it for longer keeping. An additional advantage of Google is that on very active forums one may find stuff in cache that is too old to find on Gardenweb. MudHouse - I will be starting a new Read Me thread in the near future (I can no longer edit the original one), so I would like to add this one to the list of temporary (I hope) topics. I'm also going to add a message telling people to start their own thread if they have questions to (1) minimize hijacking of threads and (2) try to stop people from reviving old threads with their (new) question. Comments (18)The photo issue was due to THAT site - had nothing at all to do with Houzz or GW. And I seriously doubt any major changes are going to be happening to the GW side of things or that it's going to be "dumped"......all the garden forums are still very active and functioning as normal. The 'search' function on Houzz still works for me.......but you do need to be in the forum where the original thread was posted. I can't remember if that is any different than it always has been, tho. If you can't remember what forum, then I agree doing a Google search is probably faster and more efficient. As an aside, the conversational forums really do not have a topic they focus on, compared to the gardening forums or most of the home forums so it does make it more difficult to locate old threads if you are not absolutely certain which forum they were posted to originally. For example, if I was hunting for an old thread about hydrangeas, I'd look in the Hydrangea forum first. But I would not necessarily have though to look in the Harvest forum for a thread on vanilla..........just saying :-))...See MoreRe-post of GardenWeb review of Thermador appliances

I am currently choosing appliances and Thermador is having a great promotion (free range hood with fridge, free dishwasher with range), but I will stick to tried and true subzero and wolf!!!
