Comments (12)murraysmom, Your Rocket is so cute! I can tell that he has sweet eyes. :) My nut-so actually was upside down, btw: nicole, awwwwww.... poor Midnight! I need to know... is she staying with you? My mom adopted ChooChoo -- same as Midnight, he was an all-black cat that was abandoned when a neighboring renter moved away. ChooChoo always had an eating problem.... I thought it was because he had been left abandoned and starving by his original owner... under my mom's care he ended up winning the "fat cat" contest at the local Humane Society and had a half-page color photo of himself in the city's newspaper. He required a special scale at whopping 32 pounds. He had a 26" waist and at the time he could have fit into my jeans. sigh. Comments (11)Smithsonian, either the gem gallery or in the geology area, of the Museum of Natural History. My son took this photo because they were his favorite. What you can't tell is how tiny they are. They're the size of your smallest finger's nail or less. It's why they're on top of those nail looking displays rather than just sitting out!...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Thurs June 25
Comments (20)Ok, I looked it up and it is Ostrich fern, but also found out people have gotten very sick from eating them due to not cooking them long enough.... good to know. Editing to add the following:"The term fiddlehead is used to refer to plants in 3 ways: (1) the young curled leaf of any fern; (2) the ostrich fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris of the Aspidaceae family); and (3) the young curled leaf of the ostrich fern used as a vegetable (often called fiddlehead greens). Comments (10)Gazania, I didn't know anything about Richard Teague before you just told us, but I looked him up and he was an extraordinary guy! So interesting and a subject I know absolutely nothing about. It's funny how something like a car, an everyday item, could have such an interesting and crazy kind of existence. I don't think I will look at another car in the same way ever again. Of course I knew people designed cars, but I never knew what all went into that process. Fascinating. And to think your cute little Pacer started it all for me. Thanks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_A._Teague...See Morerob333 (zone 7b)
