Season 3 Episode 21: Night of Decision

The episode is set in December 1777 Valley Forge the winter of despair. General Washington was in despair as he watched his army disintegrate. Conditions in the camp were horrendous. Forced to live in damp, crowded quarters, Washington's army of approximately 12,000 suffered from a lack of adequate clothing and food. Diseases such as typhoid, dysentery, typhus and pneumonia ran rampant. An estimated 2,000 died. Morale plummeted.

Experiments with Hurkos conducted by Dr. Andrija Puharich in the 1950's indicated that under a special laboratory set-up in a double Farady cage, in which the outer cage was electrified with a resonating current, Hurkos's abilities at telepathy became extremely enhanced.

The Peter Hurkos Story was removed from the One Step Beyond catalogue when Peter Hurkos who was unhappy with the final result threathened a lawsuit. The two-part episode was released in Europe as a theatrical film.

Season 2 Episode 23: Vanishing Point

This episode was later remade for FOX's short-lived 90s anthology series Ghost Stories (hosted by Rip Torn) as the episode 'Landscape of Lost Dreams,' with several notable differneces. For example, in 'Landscape of Lost Dreams,' the woman disappears into a painting, not a house. However, much of the dialogue from 'Vanishing Point' has been left intact in 'Landscape of Lost Dreams.'

Several Christian saints and monks were adapt at bilocation such as St. Anthony of Padua, St. Ambrose of Milan, St. Severus of Ravenna, and Padre Pio of Italy. In 1774, St. Alphonsus Maria de'Ligouri was seen at the bedside of the dying Pope Clement XIV, when in fact the saint was confined to his cell in a location that was a four-day journey away.

Paul Martin mentions the German Luger Pistol to the Bartender. The design was patented by Georg Luger in 1898 and produced by German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) starting in 1900 and was used in both World War I and World War II.
