River sands plant

This sprawling plant was in the deep sands along the Arkansas River today. It was highly branched, with opposite leaves. The subsessile flower heads were about 4-5 mm across. For reference, they would fit on the top of a pencil eraser. Each head had about 20 flowers that had no obvious stamens and pistils. However, the flowers did have fruits. Flowers had two 1 mm long bracts underneath 5 petals that surrounded the flat fruits. The petals were 2 mm long, and the fruits were 1.5 mm long by 1.5 mm high, with a stub at the top similar to that found with Lepidium. Each fruit had a single seed that was flattened, and about 0.8 mm across. Hopefully the photos will help.
