Can anybody help me identify the value of this item?

Two things, put this in your watch list on ebay, then on the right, under " More actions" you will see "look for similar items" .. do that. You may find one just like it or very similar. Go to replacements .com and search, they are usually higher than you can find things elsewhere but sometimes less than what you find on EBay.

I can't give you a value figure. $260.00 as the starting bid seems high. The piece has quite a bit of crazing, the interior looks bad, and may even have a very small crack.

Yes, it is all bark really. The only other bird I thought could be possible was a Carolina Wren but I don't think so. We moved the house today after much though. We were at a loss what to do. The house has broken wood on the bottom, don't know how this happened but it was leaning where it was attached to the pole. I'm afraid it would not have made it safely with the birds inside. So, we made the decision to move the house gently to an area where it will have support, about 10-12 feet directly behind the pole, and pray. We have not gone out there today hoping that with piece and quite momma will not mind the move and brave coming back. We had no clue what else to do and felt this was the safest thing to give them a chance. At first I thought it was kind of silly that this bird was bring mulch into the house until I checked again and noticed the 6 eggs. Hopefully I'll get some pictures.

I need help identifying and valueing an antique mirror

My guess is somewhere between 1890-1910, and it looks art nouveau because it is. The 'carving' looks so fine because it's really moulded gesso. The main mirror may or may not have been replaced. Check the depth of reflection. If it's original, the reflection should be deep and the piece rather heavy. I'm suspicious because of the degradation of the mirror tiles compared to the quality of the main pane. I've seen one similar mirror advertised, with the tiles in much better condition, and the owners were asking around $200. I can see a French influence in it, but so did a lot of pieces from that era. You didn't give us a lot of information, and I very well could be way off base judging from just a picture, but the mirror tiles kept niggling at me because I have a picture frame from that era with the same decoration and I think it's a pretty close call.

Oh, thank you so much - it DOES look like it might be Sedum Spectabile based on the leaves. The ones in planters at my grandparents' site did not have those pink purple flowers but they did have some very small, green and crude ones that were just beginning to bloom. I have it now in that pot. Should I slowly take the pot out to get it acclimated with the outside? My grandparents' place is in Eastern Europe (close to the Black Sea). Hot dry summers, cold, snowy winters - 4 seasons, classic continental climate. Here I am in the South, Atlanta area. Can this plant make it in this small pot I planted it in? If it goes well, I can transplant it later in something larger. What does it need in terms of water, sun and fertilizer? Thank yo so much!

It's a cherry - my guess is... either P. serotina (wild black cherry) or P. pensylvanica (pincherry)... leaning toward pincherry due to the red color.

I think that price is laughable....about $200 too much. Do a google search for warwick fine china....you will find a covered dish if not in that same pattern in one very similar. And...be aware...that seller doesn't offer returns and has only had 4 previous ebay transactions.
I wouldn't bid on that.

Give posters the benefit of the doubt. Who really knows? there are a couple of eBay sellers who post, what I consider, ridiculous prices for things. Guess they figure someone might just bite.

Yup, but they don't care. I have seen outlandish prices on things and sometimes they get sold. You will see that they usually have a lot of "watchers", who are watching just to see if it actually sells. There are people with more money than sense and all you need is one.

This covered serving dish is the same pattern, and 1/5 the price of the one first posted, or Best Offer, with free shipping. The seller has 1392 'feedbacks' and 100% positive ones.

These are completed auctions for the same pattern. Only ones with the price shown in green were sold. The ones selling a dish the same style as the one I list above for $389.00 have not sold.
