Thank you so much everyone for your help! One more question though: does anyone know how buckheadbilly would have gone about fitting so many pieces for hardware behind the sink when its design only allows for a faucet? Do you think he cut that back lip off entirely or just drilled holes in it?

This sink is an overmount- meaning it sits on top of the counter. The sinks are heavy - the smaller one weights almost 75 pounds. When you buy the sink, it comes with two metal bars and a pair of fairly odd sink clips. The two bars go across the front and the back edge of the cabinet. The sink is seated partly on the bars (altho, they mostly hold the cabinet together) and ON the countertop. The metal bars are fixed length and may not fit well into another cabinet. Both sides of the sink have a lip that sits on the counter. It might be possible to route the sides of your cabinet or the adjoining cabinets and try to undermount one, but I know nothing about the mechanics of doing it. The pair of odd sink clips simply tie down the sink to the cabinet so it can't be pulled out accidentally.

I don't think youll be able to fit a trashcan on the same side as the garbage disposal. On the other side, it should fit. With that said, I would advise against getting the drawer pullout for the trash for two reasons. One being, if there is a leak, big or small, your access to plumbing is limited unless you take out the entire pullout. And keep in mind where your plumbing is coming in from. Our water supplies were from the floor and out drain was through the wall. The water supply would have hit the back of the pullout. The sink cabinet is our only cabinet that we used doors for. We have drawers/pullouts for every other base cabinet in the kitchen. Two, it is my personal opinion that the workflow is off balance with the sink and garbage being in one cabinet. Generally if two people are in the kitchen, one will be by the sink (prepping, cleaning, etc), so access to the garbage for the other person is limited, unless the first person moves over. But, if space is tight and you can't find anywhere else to put a trash pullout, 'you gotta do what you gotta do!' We ended up using a 12 inch base cabinet with the wire pullout and moving the wire racks all the way down and putting an IKEA trash can with lid inside. Works well and takes up very little space. (also, I can't tell you how much we love our Domsjo sink and Wasteking!) Good luck!

We purchased this cabinet: https://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/spr/89032601/ I thought the guy at Ikea told us we could buy any undermount sink up to 24 inches but from what I'm reading, it seems like I have to chop 3 inches off that and restrict it to 21inches max. Is that right? Thanks!
