First Succulent Garden, need help identifying
Comments (5)I'll confirm that the top left is Haworthia fasciata. For the bottom left, I would guess an Adromischus of some kind. I'll confirm that bottom right looks a lot like an Echeveria, though I think it may be 'Moonglow.' (Though -- cultivar names aren't always very stable / reliable, so it could well be one, the other, both, or neither.)...See MorePlease help me identify this plant I planted in my garden!
Comments (2)Your plant, one of my favorites) is Bush Ivy (Fatshedera lizei). It is important to understand how it grows to use it correctly. Unlike other ivies, it does not have little roots that cling. It must be supported (espalied) on a wall, fence or pergola. As it matures in your zone it will send out branches that could be 12' long and it becomes very heavy so needs a strong support. It can be pruned back and controlled any time of the year. I have grown it on a fence using tiers of grape wire supended through screw eyes and the branches afixed to the wire with single wrap velcro. Also, the entrance to my garden in a former home was a strong arch with Bush Ivy secured to it. In the late winter you will note quite a bit of yellowing and dropping leaves. Normal situation not to worry about. Hopefully you can find a growing situation for this plant. It is a beauty....See MoreNeed Help identifying plants in my garden
Comments (8)I live in barrie, on. I inherited 2 of the same spirea from previous owners. Word of caution; this can become very large, spreading & invasive. If you have a large area for it, it is quite nice. But if you are trying to keep it contained in a smaller garden or yard, it will become a problem. I removed one last year & I think the other one will go at the end of the season. It has spread suckering roots 10 ft from its planted location. It's near a patio & the roots are trying to grow through the cracks....See MoreHelp identifying plant in my garden
