Comments (3)I'm not sure one can make those sort of distinctions - it's all a bit subjective :-)) Bloom season will be the same for each - late spring/early summer then a lighter late summer/early fall rebloom. Other issues depend on your preferences and the actual growing conditions. Type 2 clematis and even more particularly the barred forms are not my preference. Comments (6)I have it but I bought it as a plant. I've done a quick Google and I don't see any sources for seed over here either. I'm wondering if it would come true even if it did set seed? My plants have not produced any seeds that I've noticed but then the dying flowers are a mess. They tend to get sodden rather than dry so I often dead head them.
