Help with cast iron tub

Hello every one, I need some advice since I'm totally new to this kind of tub. I just bought a cast iron tub, and I notice the bottom part where connect to the foot is different from any other cast tub I've seen. Am I missing some converter

or was this tub meant to mount on other base stand?? Please help me thank you

Can't see anything but rust. Not promising for reuse.

Have you tried attaching the feet? That will tell you. We can't tell without seeing the inside of the fee. You can also get the tub refinished by someone like this:

Read their advice on how to choose a refinisher and find someone in your area.

Can I get some recommendations for cast iron (not acrylic) undermount plain (no jets or whirlpool) tubs? Not sure how long I want or need it to be. And can folks tell me what I should be looking for in such a tub? Depth of the tub and ability to accomodate two people (width) seem to come up. Hi Mike, this is how our feet are attached to both of our claw foot tubs. It looks a bit different then what you have. I think you are missing a few pieces in your set up.

Why Sanitary napkins as shown in the photo? Also lotion? Are you going to do a hot water hook up to the tub? I know people who have had hot water hook up outside so they can rinse and wash the dogs before they come in the house. I always bring my boy in and use the warm water and sprayer in the tub. He jumps in and out by himself, does not slip on the non -slip bottom, but one of those rubber mats would work.

I used a Kohler Expanse tub, in one of our bathrooms. They are acrylic. When installing the tub, set it in mortar (under the tub). This gives a very solid feel.

You do understand that there is nobody left in the US who does proper reporcelaining of cast iron, due to the current EPA regulations? All you can do is the fancy paint job and that is not going to last.
