Russ, can you help with IDing of Aglaonemas?
i took photos of many pretty ags, naturalized in the Pinecrest gardens near Miami FL. they are very happy in the ground and spread like a carpet over large areas.
i read in the other thread that you grow yours in pots, since they easily get root rot in FL.
however these are in the ground for a very long time, obviously. But soil composition in Pinecrest and in Homestead/Miami areas is different from the rest of FL - it's coral rock.
so perhaps that can explain it
here's the first pic of 3 cultivars. the only one i tentatively identify, is the one with spripes - 'White Lightning', perhaps. It does have white stems. the 2nd pic is another one of it, with stems clearly visible.
the spotty one right, center looks like Dieffenbachia, but is not!.
i looked at 'Diamond' and 'Lumina' - but Diamond has a white vein and rounder leaves. 'Lumina' is much greener.
the one upfront seems to be A. pseudobracteatum.
What do you say?
