Frigidaire Professional Appliances ... Comments and Opinions.
Comments (21)After just getting off the phone with Frigidaire/Electrolux customer service, I felt it would be appropriate to inform all potential appliance buyers as to my experience. Unfortunately my review is not positive. We have been in a custom built home for approximately 3.5 years that we bought from a builder. The builder used all Frig "Professional" appliances - Huge full size fridge/freezer side by side, stove top range, dual built-in ovens, dishwasher and microwave. We have had to have service on every single appliance within the last 24 months with the last call being about a power supply issue with the microwave. The service calls are being done through our home warranty program and not Frigidaire. Unbeknownst to me, the factory warranty is only for 1 year. I guess they are familiar with their own quality issues and won't provide anything further unless you buy an extended plan. Today's customer service call was a request on my end to ask for some assistance in replacing the microwave as the HW company stated that the repair was greater than the value of the built-in microwave. Furthermore, due to the frequency in which we are experiencing problems with all of the "Professional" series appliances and the fact that a 3.5 year old appliance is useless, I was hoping for a couple of good faith options. The agent, who was very nice, was texting a supervisor, stated that the item was only covered for 1 year and they were not obligated to do anything further as it was not covered. Fair enough, just not my type of vendor/partner and want others to know this as well. Certainly, for the money, there a better performing appliances out there. Frigidaire management should be a little more in tune with customer experience as this will have a much greater negative impact over the long term than if they had been supportive in options for a single microwave unit that didn't measure up to good quality in the short term. Safe to say, will never buy a Frigidaire appliance again and I will make sure that friends, family and colleagues all hear my grievance....See MoreKnowledge for you and your carpet cleaning professional
Comments (1)Hoover, Panasonic and Eureka are all three highly designed and trustworthy vacuums? You have got to be kidding yourself. And the dirt finders are a joke whether it be the microphone or light sensor. And by the way, the Kirby Generation models do clean better than the older models, they have a better designed brushroll that has more aggressive agitation and they have better airflow as well. While I believe the Kirby is overpriced, it has way more airflow than the other vacuums you mentioned and will clean cirlcles around Filter Queen, Rainbow, Panasonic, etc! when it comes to vacuuming carpet. Having said that, it is terrible as a shampooer as all it does is brush soap into your carpet leaving a residue that attracts dirt. Those that use the Kirby shampooer regularly have tons of soap in their carpet which you will notice if you bring in a quality extractor because there will be tons of suds. It is also not a user friendly vacuum as it is hard for most to hook up the attachments. Also, the newer bags do hold dust better than the older single ply bags so they have improved in filtration as well. I wouldnt buy a Kirby new at the price they get for them and I would never use one to shampoo my carpet. But they do a great job of vacuuming carpet which is really all they were designed for in the first place. Shampooer and the other gadgets were added on to try and add value to the machine. And for those of you that didnt know it, Hoover is now owned by Dirt Devil so when you buy a Hoover these days, you are really buying a chinese made Dirt Devil with the Hoover name on it. At least the Kirby is American made...See MoreAura Satin v. Semi-Gloss Quality/Durability?

Comments (20)TARA ULTRA 33 860 875 Professional single-lever mixer, 240 mm projection is where the handle is on the side and it is on a spring. I would istall it with the waste pop up and a soap dispenser on the deck. I do not have the kind of design that can carry a wall mounted faucet. Rococogurl, I completely understand the plastic body with coating versus all metal workings. Some of my cheapo (midpriced) faucets have nicks where the plastic are showing underneath. I have had good luck with Grohe but have not done as well with hansgrohe. How do you use the Dornbracht faucet so you can fill the pot on the counter? Maybe you can't. This to me is the biggest drawback of these pro sprayers that do not extend beyond the 'hose' that is visible. I really like the presence, however. I do not have any uppers on the sink side of kitchen. The sink is in front of a very large window, 6 ft wide or more, so the larger scale would look better from a design point of view. It's just the reach outside of the sink that I am worried about. I think they all reach well within the sink, but I would like it to be able to fill the pot on the counter so I don't have to lift the heavy pot up and out of the sink since I am short. If I fill it on the counter, I can just slide/carry it to the stove. A part of me has an attitude that if it isn't great, replace it in a few years. We tend to "wear out" things. We are hard on our stuff. I am not a great housekeeper and my house cleaner is "hard" on things, I think. They have been with us for 10 years or more and I don't have the heart to look for a new house cleaner. For example, our handheld shower heads get dropped all the time (not sure more by the cleaners or us), so there are cracks on the plastic. It is relatively cheap to get a new shower head for a small pick me up! Why not a faucet! It helps that my DH can replace these things with some ease. (even with an Ivy league PhD, he has his practical uses.) Decisions. Decision. Now that I have put in the cabinet order, I can move onto the faucet and the counter. i also have to decide on the railing system; glass, metal, or cable. A friend of ours is doing their house with all Dornbracht plumbing stuff. Amazing and beautiful! She has the tub filling from the ceiling. Cool, man!...See MoreUser
