It looks quite lovely to me! :) I would leave it alone and enjoy!

My collection was pretty banged up last Autumn and this Spring, but they pulled through. The hail damage won't go away, though. Just have to wait for new growth, and pluck leaves that are too spoiled.

I would just leave it alone. I feel for you in March we had about 2 minutes of hail and just enough ice got under my Ebony agavoides to start the lovely rotting process. Luckily I was able to keep it alive :)

I think that you were mighty lucky. We have had some three inch hail for thirty minutes not far from me in San Antonio. This one neighborhood had big hail three times in 1/2 a month. There gardens are totally destroyed. If the imbalance bothers you, now would be a good time to do a Jade back job and trim the whole thing back. But the tree still looks good.I would live with it and see what happens. Apply the two week rule to the situation. I find defects that bothered me when they first happen , seem to disappear on there own in two weeks. Life is all about tolerance of imperfection.

Agree with all, your jade looks very good considering it lived thru hail. If/when you decide to prune off some of the branches, they will make lovely little trees themselves.

Rina, I am a high end furniture designer /manufacture and we use that rule a lot. Perfection is sometimes evasive even in the best of things. Most times people don't even see what bothers us. I also have a saying that the Hopi Indian designed imperfection into a piece to allow the free movement of the soul. We get that soul moving a lot on a bad day.

Yes, we were lucky it was just (a lot!) of pea sized hail. All of our tender plants were pretty shredded though. They look a little sad but are still alive! I think I'll live with it for now. It i turn it just so it looks fine. ;) I do have a echeveria that took quite a beating on one side too. It is REALLY sad looking. I'll post pictures of it later. Not sure what to do with it either. Almost all of the leaves have marks. :(

I had some major hail on many agaves last year. The dark green agaves showed the damage really bad . They were white spiderwebs on the dark leaves. If I look closely at the lower leaves I can see them , but I am amazed how the new growth hides most of it. Hail is just a feature of life in the mid part of the country. Laura Springer has a chapter in her garden Book " The undaunted Garden" where she talks about garden with hail in mind. What plants recover the damage easily and what plants will die from it. She was living and gardening in Eastern Colorado at the time she wrote the book. I have never seen a garden book that addressed hail before.
