Pool In Progress
Comments (2)It has been a crazy week at work and then this weekend went way too fast! There has been some progress on the pool - the tile is set and ready to be grouted. I also found the re-design pictures that were done by our PB so here they all are: Katief04 - those are not our steps, but the it will be on the edge of our sundeck. I am glad you like it because I was beginning to have second steps. All my female friends like it and my male friends, including DH, are not so sure. The blue diamonds will be on the steps and everyone loves those! The raised square in the renderings will be our Sundance Spa. DH is thinking that he will build a gazebo or pergola over it. The pool will be in screen enclosure. On top of the back wall is a planter. There will be 3 waterfalls in the back wall that are hard to see and we are thinking about adding a fire pit. What do you guys think so far? Melissa...See MoreDiamond Brite and River Rok pictures requested
Comments (11)Well, it's kind of a funny story. We were 100% set on Lucayan Blue. Now a few weeks have gone by and we've purchased some palm trees, cedar for a 10' x 16' pergola and flagstone for our patio to match our coping. This all meant that the extra $800 for the River Rok finish became debatable. Weighing heavily on our minds was a plaster crew that hasn't done many River Rok pools. I've read that it's all in the application, so I don't think we can live with a rough surface due to inexperience. So now we're back leaning towards Diamond Brite Ocean Blue. (But I still havent seen 1 picture of Steel Blue or Bahama Breeze, which we also threw into the running.) And even with that, my PB has done a lot of DB pools, but never mixed colors. So we just might risk it. I refuse to get a white plaster pool! The plaster decision has been the absolute hardest! I really wish more people posted pictures of their pools with plaster color. Don't get me wrong, this board has been SO much help in figuring things out, but I could definitely use more examples. With that being said, as soon as ours is done I will happily post many pics of our pool for others to use as a reference....See MoreAnyone have Colorscapes french gray or tahoe blue pool pictures?
Comments (16)I am struggling to choose a pool color and only have a few days to decide. Today we went a visited a pool that was french gray. It was nice put a bit too plain for our tastes. We are leaning toward Diamond Brite Aegean Sea. Only problem is there are only like 5 credible pictures of it online. I am dying to see more. It is 6 parts french gray and 4 parts tahoe blue. It seems that is similar to what your colorscapes finish is. Can you please post more pictures. And Im not sure what colorscapes is?? Is it much different than diamond brite?...See MoreDiamond Brite Aegean Sea
Comments (0)I am building a gunite pool and at the torturous stage of picking a color. When I was younger I always thought if I was ever lucky enough to build my own pool it would have water that looked just as dazzling as the caribbean water of Turks and Caicos. Now I am witnessing everyone nowadays going with these dark murky puddle colored pools. And the pool builder is recommending something darker to more fit my natural wood landscape. So I figure I try and find the sweet spot in the middle of the spectrum, and that seems to be Diamond Brite Aegean Sea. Searching google for pictures is not very helpful, and who knows if they are labeled properly. If anyone has any real world insight or picture I would be very grateful. I am dying to see pictures of this color....See MoreK Ward
