The Rose show continues next weekend, also. I am sorry that I missed the show on the 21st. I would have liked to have gone. The RBG site says: Rose Celebration Saturdays and Sundays, June 21 and 22, 28 and 29, July 5 and 6; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Hendrie Park Gardens Celebrate the classical beauty of the Gardens two acres of roses in full bloom. The colours and fragrances are awe-inspiring. Enjoy activities for the kids, live entertainment, guided tours of Rose, Scented, Medicinal and Medieval gardens and explore the Discovery Cart and learn about the versatility of roses. Done for the year! The next rose show in NJ is the Jersey Shore RS show at Deep Cut Gardens, Red Hill Road, Middletown, NJ (exit 114 from the Garden State Parkway), 9/13/2014. Show opens at 1:00 PM, entries accepted 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM, and we also have several sections for rose photographs.

We had a very nice show, and a great turn out. Next show in the district will be West Jersey's next May or June, I'll post the date when it is set. Thanks to agardenstateof_mind, and the great staff at Deep Cut!

I'm going to miss judging this year, but I hope everyone comes out to see the lovely roses. This is also a chance to ask questions, there will be many Consulting Rosarians, Judges and all-around great rose growers to talk to after entries are submitted! If you are inclined to exhibit, entries are accepted 7 AM - 10 AM the morning of the show. You MUST know the variety name. Show schedules and tags (and assistance with placement) will be available at the show.
