Can I plant other plants in place where a Datura was?

I received a datura from my neighbor and I will be planting it in my front yard but only for this season. I've never had one before. Well, next year I plan on planting a lilac there or a climbing rose (or maybe something else) Does anyone know if it's ok to plant other plants in the place where a datura was growing. Are there certain plants that don't like to be in a place of it? Maybe this is a silly question but I really like to know what I'm getting myself into before I plant :) Thanks!
