We are located in south Flroida and have been propagating hoyas for several years. In south Florida, many Hoyas from cuttings will flower in the first year or less. We have Hoya publicalyx splash, publicalyx red button (above image of one blooming now), and sp sarawak all flower without any fertilization bloom boosters in about 7..8 months from planting. AdeniumRose Company ships hoya plants throughout the USA. We are asked many times how long until the plants bloom and I would like to get an idea under different climates what I should reply. We reply "it depends upon the amount of light, soil used, fertilization and humidity". Since we are not in the north using grow lights (ours are 100% natural light grow under 60% to 70% sunlight ). How longs does it take for an average person (not a grower) to get their plants to bloom in the North under grow lights verses next too a sunny window?
