if i gave you pure science.. you wouldnt keep coming back .. lol .. and dont think i have it readily available in my head ... there just comes a point where i dont care to know more ... and that is where i cut loose from the seedy fellows and seed growers ... just too much science ... all the power to them.. i just dont care ... WHO CARES] i been mulling this... since the above reply .. a lot of peeps.. seem to think that genetics varies over species.. but its really all the same concept ... and once you can relate it to humans .. as in the red headed boy ... to me anyway .. things start making more sense ... and i am able to retain it on some level .... to avoid being graphic.. in the creation of my son.. there was no mutation.. or defect which caused the red hair .... it was just floating in the gene pool .... just like that streaked plant ... whether by seed or TC ... ken BTW.. some obscure brain cell seems to recall that aden claimed to have nuked seed to come up with one of his spectacular plants .. and as far as i know.. that has been poo pahed endlessly ... anyone recall which from his book that hooked me??? maybe a twin brain cell will trigger ... was it GE ..???

Picked up 13 hostas today for a total of $65.58: American Halo - 8 eyes Atlantis - 19 eyes Lakeside Cupcake - 9 eyes Queen Josephine - 17 eyes Fortunei Albopicta - 3 Eyes Alvatine Taylor - 4 eyes Thunderbolt - 9 eyes Chantilly Lace - 8 eyes Sagae - 3 eyes So Sweet - 7 eyes Pineapple Upside Down Cake - 14 eyes Carnival - 2 eyes Diana Remembered - 2 eyes I bought Sagae last year, couldn't resist another one for only $4.99. I think I'm going to like taking pictures with our new camera! BTW, as we were checking out, we asked if they were going to be getting any different varieties of hostas in this season. The manager popped up from the back room and gave us the list of hostas that were going to be coming in around April 1 and then asked us if we were "Hostas on the Bluff" (our Facebook page). This nursery is over 15 miles from our house, I wonder how he knew?? Had me laughing all the way home! Gesila

all of your hostas are beautiful..my Little Treasure turned into "no treasure"..got smaller and smaller then disappeared..I grow mostly the reliable ones..Little Treasure, Kabitan and a Gold Standard with HVX are the ones I've lost..your minis are fantastic..
