Plant ID-- 4 Plants in 1! Gift from Mother-in-law!
Comments (15)Toni: Yeah, I worry a lot when repotting. I've got a lot of daylilies and other plants in a container garden outside and I've traumatized a few by unintentionally "rough repotting". I'm a newbie to houseplants, but not a total newbie for outside plants! :) Yeah. I keep my plants there, two kitchen islands stuck together. It's the only place in my house out of reach of the cat (who will eat everything). Lighting is fine. I've got a big kitchen window (east) that lights up the area for most of the morning/early afternoon, plus some extra light from a dining room window. My camera just makes everything look dark. I don't know why the flash makes things look dark! My husband knows the right settings, but I don't! I've thought about scooting the succulents over to the window if I can figure out a way to block the area from the cat, but so far they seem to be doing well where they are. The alpenglow / vera higgins / graptosedum looks much healthier already than it did when I bought it (50 cent clearance plant--it didn't have any green to it. It was completely gray, hence the gray pot). I accidentally broke one jade leaf when I was checking the soil, but other than that, no jade issues so far. Here are the dark closeups! :)...See Morepls help id beautiful mother's day bouquet flower
Comments (2)I love Boronia. Get the right spp (B. megastigma) and your garden will be a perfume delight on a balmy summer evening. Problem is that I have never been able to keep then alive for much over a year. I live on the East coast of Australia while the best Boronias come from Western Australia, and WA plants generally hate growing on the East coast. :-((...See MoreMother's Day Plant Sale

Comments (26)Luckygal, where in the world are you? Somewhere near a beach obviously--but which one. Sorry no good luck on the TS shopping, do keep trying! Jeanne, I have two baker's racks outside, one is a corner unit--but neither look nearly as cute as yours with your collections and vignettes. I need to work on mine I think. That is so neat that you do the Farmer's market too. Candy, I'm another one who does tablescapes for my "imaginary" friends. DH will only eat at the table when we have company--rest of the time he prefers to eat in front of the tv. Karen, I didn't do a table, but I did glue a little cheese tray and glass dome on a pedestal and decorate it--can I get any points for that? ;o) Kathleen, the rooster napkins like in your photo that you shared with me are some of my favs. We don't do sit down breakfast often, but I like to just sit the table and display them on the plates because they look so cute....See Moretomorrow447
