I think a year or two to stretch out will help...leaves look young so harder to ID. Young plants in pots all squished together at retail will change a lot in the garden. Take a look at a young Krossa Regal and you would never guess what a grand plant it will become. Do you have a list of possibles? Where was it purchased? If Lowes or box store, then likely a more commonly available hosta like Fortunei Aureomarginata or Wide Brim, else.... Also, roots look exposed...I like to dig a hole and create a cone of soil in the center, then spread roots out in hole with crown a bit high. Refill hole, then when I press down on soil with my hands, the crown drops a bit to where I want it and roots are covered. Paul

My sister works in a pharmacy and she said they went from giving 1-2 flu shots/day to about 30/day. She's working 11-hour days. But no one in the pharmacy got a flu shot, even though they can have them for free. She's never had a flu shot and never had the flu either so she's afraid to mess with a winning formula. I have a standing appt with my doctor in a couple of weeks, necessary to get a prescription renewed, and I'm already dreading the exposure to germs in my tiny doctor's office where I usually have to wait forever - in the waiting room or in an exam room. I'm going to tell them I'm waiting in the hallway and they'd better not call me back until they're ready! I had a flu shot in October but that doesn't guarantee anything, although they claim it's a pretty good match for the most common strain showing up around here.

Adding anything with thickness will cause obvious problems with appearance where it meets window and door molding. I suggest new sheetrock.

AnnKH, thanks. That is the interior bathroom door upstairs. Thank goodness. It's a little splotchy looking, but not too bad for my first time staining. I know the pros can do so much better, but my staining job was really small and it started out splotchy looking.
