I do have someone that comes in on Thursday's to help with the kids. She also does some cleaning and laundry for me. I have Dr.'s appointments every 2 weeks from now on out so have made those on Thursday's so I don't have to take the kids with me. Last week was the first time, and it was nice to have someone entertain the kids and help with picking up. I got to go and pick peaches, apples and pears to make baby food for the new little one and pick up groceries without 3 helpers in tow. My mil also offered to come over once a week and my mom has been trying to come up once a week. So even though it is going to be a long 2 and a half months the help will be appreciated. I tried in May to find someone to come in during the week for a few days or afternoons and couldn't find anyone interested in helping out, even high school girls or college girls home for the summer. I will post picks, but I am so big this time around and my stomach is hard as a rock and stretching like crazy, I hate to think of how much extra skin I will have after the baby is born. After the baby is born, I will have to wait 6 weeks and have to have gallbladder surgery and will be out of commission for a few more weeks. I am definately not looking foreward to 2 surgeries so close together, but I am not going to keep dealing with the gallbladder attacks if I don't have to. Stacie girlsingardens

My sister works in a pharmacy and she said they went from giving 1-2 flu shots/day to about 30/day. She's working 11-hour days. But no one in the pharmacy got a flu shot, even though they can have them for free. She's never had a flu shot and never had the flu either so she's afraid to mess with a winning formula. I have a standing appt with my doctor in a couple of weeks, necessary to get a prescription renewed, and I'm already dreading the exposure to germs in my tiny doctor's office where I usually have to wait forever - in the waiting room or in an exam room. I'm going to tell them I'm waiting in the hallway and they'd better not call me back until they're ready! I had a flu shot in October but that doesn't guarantee anything, although they claim it's a pretty good match for the most common strain showing up around here.

Yes, I have rehomed a number of tame cats that ended up in my last neighborhood, and some less tame that also probably once had homes. Have learned not to rehome any to people who are planning a move though, because some of the cats escaped during the moving process in their new homes and were not found/recaptured successfully. Terrible. In my current neighborhood my duplex neighbor family moved and left their dog and 3 cats behind. It fell to the landlady and me to rehome them, which we did and they are better off now than with their original owners, (who had already abandoned their unspayed female cat - one of the 3 - and neighbors felt sorry for her and were feeding her) but it was a stressful process and took time. Wish people were better educated about how to treat animals and that they have feelings too.

AnnKH, thanks. That is the interior bathroom door upstairs. Thank goodness. It's a little splotchy looking, but not too bad for my first time staining. I know the pros can do so much better, but my staining job was really small and it started out splotchy looking.
